Federal law requires a percentage of federal contracting dollars be awarded to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses like America's Packaging.

The Mandate: Not less than 5% of the total value of all federal prime contract and subcontract awards must be placed with certified SDVOSBs each fiscal year.

If you are a private commercial company, you are also legally bound to this requirement if you act as a prime contractor for the federal government. The 5% requirement does not apply to Medicare Part D insurance reimbursements or pharmacy benefit payments.
